Andrew Phung – Emcee

Andrew Phung is an award winning actor, improviser, emcee, and writer. He is a long time improviser with the world-renowned Loose Moose Theatre Company where he serves as a Senior Ensemble Performer and Instructor. Andrew is an alumnus of Avenue’s Top 40 under 40 list (2009) and has been named Best Local Actor (2013, 2014, 2017) and Best Local Comedian (2014, 2016) by FFWD Weekly and Best of Calgary. Andrew is currently one of the stars of the hit television series Kim’s Convenience, and took home the Canadian Screen Award for “Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” for his work on the show.

Sheldon Kennedy

Sheldon Kennedy is best known for his courageous decision to charge his Major Junior Hockey League coach with sexual assault for the five years of abuse he suffered while under his care. Through this disclosure, and the important work that Sheldon continues to do, he has inspired millions of people. Sheldon has been instrumental in connecting governments with public and private sectors to collaboratively influence policy change and improve the way child abuse is handled. Sheldon is the Lead Director at the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre, the first-of-its-kind in Canada to offer wrap-around services for victims of child abuse. Sheldon has received many awards for his outstanding advocacy, including the David Foster Foundation Humanitarian Award in 2014 and the Order of Canada in 2015.
